Our History

In the summer of 1999, Dr. Rob Harding was appointed to this new church start. Having completed his doctorate in Evangelism from SMU in 1997, Pastor Rob brought a passion to the new congregation that helped the church grow quickly in its early years. Pastor Rob remains with the church today.

In the fall of 1999, a group of young couples joined Pastor Rob and his wife Sara when they started Grace Community United Methodist Church at FishHawk. That initial congregations of seven has now grown to 450!

The congregation met in several area schools until Grace built its current facility in 2005.  Plans are underway for additional facilities.

Even now, 10 years into the journey, the people of Grace continue their commitment to reaching the FishHawk area and beyond for Jesus Christ.
